Most rugs are washed and returned within 5–7 working days. Drying depends on the weather and the thickness of the rug, and we never return a rug until it is dry right through the foundation. Repairs take longer: usually 1–2 weeks for fringes and small holes, and 3–6 weeks for re-weaving. We confirm the timeline before we start.
Yes. Pickup and delivery are free anywhere in Singapore. Once you have approved the quote, we arrange a time that suits you, roll and label the rug, and bring it back to your door when the work is finished. We can wrap it in plastic for storage if you ask.
Every rug is inspected and colour-tested first. It is then fully saturated with low-pressure water, an antibacterial, pH-neutral wool-safe shampoo is left to absorb, and the whole rug is scrubbed by hand. A traditional metal rake pushes out compacted dirt, and we soak and extract a second time until the water runs clear. Finally, the rug dries naturally in the sun. No machines, no harsh chemicals.
No. We specialise in loose rugs, which are collected and washed by hand at our own facility. That includes hotel lobby and suite rugs, and rugs in offices and showrooms. See rug care for hotels, designers and property managers.
For a rug in normal home use, every 12–18 months. Busy living areas, homes with pets or young children, and hotel or office rugs are best washed every 6–12 months. Regular vacuuming in between (without the beater bar on fine rugs) keeps grit from wearing the pile.
In most cases, yes. Because the rug is fully saturated and rinsed until the water runs clear, urine is washed out of the foundation rather than masked on the surface. Sun-drying then helps neutralise any remaining odour. Old stains that have changed the dye may fade but not disappear completely — we tell you honestly from the photos before you commit.
Yes. Pure silk and art (bamboo/viscose) silk are the most delicate rugs we handle. We test the dyes first, use gentle pH-controlled products, wash by hand and dry carefully to protect the sheen. Tell us if you are not sure whether your rug is real or art silk — a photo of the back and the fringe usually helps.
